Frequently Asked Questions

What is the process to enroll?

Click on the “Enroll now” button to fill out the enrollment form. Or, contact Jeffrey Warner directly. At that point, we will set up an interview.

When do you meet?

We meet on Thursdays, from late August until the middle of May. There are a total of 30 classroom days.

How academically rigorous is BHA?

Again, this is an enrichment program. It is hoped students develop socially and spiritually as well as academically. However, most weeks will include graded homework assignments, designed to build on teaching done in class.

What if a student has special academic needs?

Assignments and expectations can be adjusted, based on the need of the student. Jeffrey has experience teaching students with autism, ADHD, and other learning challenges. Such conversations would be part of the initial enrollment process.

Do you offer official transcripts?

No, we are not under any accreditation body. BHA will provide quarterly report cards for your records, and recommendations for future study and/or jobs as appropriate.

What is your classroom size?

Officially, our maximum class size is 15. However, once we approached 10 students, we would work to divide into two groups, one meeting Thursdays and one on a different day of the week.

Do you offer an online option?

No. We hope, in the near future, to open a separate online class. However, even if we do that, there will not be an online option integrated into the in-seat program.

Do you offer multi-child discounts?

Yes, absolutely! Families with more than one children in the program receive a $250 discount for every child after the first. There is also a discount when another family joins the program on your recommendation.

Can I get more details on what you believe?

Definitely. You can request a more detailed statement of faith from Jeffrey Warner.

What do you mean by “enrichment?”

Briar Hill Academy is not meant to be the primary educational component of a child’s homeschooling experience. However, our once-weekly program can be used by a family as the foundation on which to build a more complete program.
